Our vision of a hunger-free community continues to guide our daily efforts. We look forward to the day that we do not have a line-up and that the complex issue of poverty and people not being able to meet their basic need have been solved.

The Starfish Backpack Program helps feed 190 local school children by ensuring they have nutritious food for the weekend.
The Baby Bank, which is largely supported by our annual Basics for Babies event, supports our youngest clients with formula, diapers and more.

- 18 Million pounds of food diverted from landfills by our food recovery program.
Where We Send Food
We expanded our food recovery program to include all perishable items donated by every grocery retailer in Kamloops and will have collected 2 million pounds by year end. We tripled the number of elementary age children who receive backpacks full of food every weekend and distributed a record amount of food to our 7000 clients, 9 regional food banks in addition to the 52 community agencies we serve that make meals.
